Welcome from Kristian Munt, President of RHA
Dear Esteemed Alumni,
Welcome to a truly special year as we celebrate the centenary of our association. I am truly honoured to be the current President as we enjoy our celebrations throughout the year which kicked off with an outstanding annual dinner. They continue with an event at ‘Dirty Dicks’ near Liverpool Street and culminate in a gala dinner at Fletcher’s Lea in Ware in November.
In the spirit of celebrating our shared experiences, I must acknowledge the notable achievements of our fellow alumni and among them of course was our guest speaker at the annual dinner, Shira Kilgallon from "The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby”. Her work serves as a testament to the diverse talents and accomplishments of our Richard Hale School community. The whole room was captivated by her anecdotal challenges and experiences, and I thank her for giving up her time to contribute. A wonderful evening was had by all.
The Old Hertfordians, now The Richard Hale Association, has been a beacon of post-school activities that continue to shape the lives of generations of students, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.
As we come together throughout the year, let us reflect on the rich history and enduring legacy of our school. From its humble beginnings to its present stature as a pillar of education in Hertford. Richard Hale School has stood the test of time, guided by a steadfast commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a spirit of excellence.
It is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, past and present, that Richard Hale School continues to inspire and empower students to reach their fullest potential. Their unwavering passion for education has touched countless lives and continues to shape the future leaders of tomorrow.
As we celebrate our century of post-school camaraderie, let us also look ahead with hope and enthusiasm. Let us honour the legacy of those who came before us by continuing to uphold the values of integrity, scholarship, and service that define us.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the RHA committee for their tireless efforts in organising this year’s events, bringing us together in celebration of our centenary and this serves as a testament to the enduring spirit of Richard Hale School and the profound impact it has had on all of us.
Here's to the next hundred years of excellence, friendship, and shared memories and I look forward to seeing each and every one of you who have contributed to its storied history over the next 12 months.
